Kennebunk 5 Miler results.
May 5, 2008Mark Miller of Keene, New Hampshire, won Sunday’s Kennebunk Beach Classic 5 Miler with a time of 24:50. Mary Proulx, also of Keene, won the first overall women’s division finishing in 29:40.
Wilson Perez of Keene took men’s second in 25:40 and Michael Brouillette of South Hadley, Massachusetts, placed third. In the women’s, Carry Buterbaugh came in second in 30:18, and Liz Turner of Cape Neddick finished third in 31:39.
In other wins, Tom Ryan of Cape Elizabeth, sixth overall, won the men’s 50-59 finishing in 28:26. Bill Reilly of Brownfield won the men’s 60-69 in 32:11 and was 21st overall. Christine Snow-Reaser of Dayton won the women’s 40-49 age group with a time of 32:15. And Erika McCaffrey of Cape Porpoise won women’s 50-59 in 34:49.
More than 228 people competed the course, including 82-year-old Dottie Gray of Shrewsbury, Missouri. Overall a very “international” field took part, with New Hampshire sending the most representatives from outside Maine.
